This policy explains what Divendo processes when you scan and share a receipt, and the choices you control.

The short version

Divendo reads receipts on your device first. Receipt photos are never added to the system Photos library by Divendo. If you choose “Keep photo in Recent,” a private copy stays inside Divendo’s on-device history. Friends receive structured split information, not the original image.

Information processed

When you open a shared split, Divendo temporarily processes a random room identifier, item labels, quantities, amounts, tax, tip, claimed items, and participant display names. The room exists so the group can coordinate the split and expires after 48 hours.

On-device history

Saved receipt history is stored on your device. It is not synchronized to a Divendo account. You can delete individual receipts inside the app. Removing the app may also remove its local history according to your device backup settings.

Smart Scan

If you have Divendo Plus and give permission, Divendo may send a compressed, metadata-free receipt image to Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence for a second reading. The image is used to return the scan result, is not written to Divendo’s receipt database, and is subject to Microsoft’s service processing and retention practices.

Parser improvement

Divendo may use approved, minimized, photo-free label corrections from explicitly enabled internal testing to improve receipt parsing. These examples exclude raw OCR, receipt photos, tax, tips, and payment information. Public users do not contribute shared training examples.

Subscriptions

Apple processes Divendo Plus purchases. Divendo receives transaction and subscription status needed to verify access, restore purchases, enforce usage limits, and handle refunds or expiration. Divendo does not receive your full payment-card information.

Service providers

Divendo uses infrastructure providers to host temporary split rooms and Microsoft Azure for optional Smart Scan processing. Apple provides subscription billing. These processors receive only the information necessary to provide their part of the service.

Your choices

You can scan locally, decline Smart Scan, avoid saving receipt photos, delete on-device history, and let shared rooms expire. For privacy or deletion questions, email dev@neoncartridgelabs.com.
